Reasons to read "Manhunter" #11

Starting in issue #11, Cameron Chase of the DEO is part of the regular cast of Manhunter.

She and Kate are old friends. For those of you who read Chase, that's all the reason you need. For those of you who didn't, this is your chance to find out why they did.

Buy Manhunter.

Is it wrong that to this day I still resent the majority of the comic buying populace who didn't buy Chase? Because, MAN, that was a good comic.

Thank you. Now I know what "Cam's" full name is, a fact that Manhunter is unaccountably stingy with.

So who is she?

I mean, we all share a good laugh at Silver Age exposition, but I prefer it to what we get now, which is nothing.

Chris, I still resent the retailers who didn't order Chase and, more so, my former (currently out of business) retailer who failed to increase their orders of Major Bummer when the title was selling out faster than any other (but continued to have 50 extra copies of StromWatch at the end of the month)

Cameron Chase is an agent of the Department of Extranormal Operations (DEO), on the government's principal agencies overseeing metahuman activity in the U.S., under the direction of Mr. Bones (a former member of Infinity Inc.).

Cameron is the daughter of a minor vigilane, the Acro-Bat, who was killed in action. She is also a "closeted" metahuman herself. As I understand it, her ability to temporarily "shut down" the metahuman abilities of others activates autonomically under conditions of extreme stress.
