I have to say something: The Rann vs. Thanagar is one of the WORST things I've ever read. Actually, I can't read it. The stupidity of it repels my eyes.
Sadly, the Blogosphere's Rann vs. Thanagar War is FAR more interesting than the real thing!
All those who side against Rann are fools. Maces? Oooh. Try jetpacks and laser pistols. And a helmet with a little fin on it. How are maces cooler than that? They're not. Face it: Thanagar sucks. Rann gets a much better deal in Adam Strange and James Robinson's Starman, and 80s Thanagar was creepy and evil. But mostly creepy.

Over at my blog (not even a close patch on the genius of the Absorbascon) I've recently declared my allegience to the might of Thanagar (of course).
As Marie Antoinette once said, "Let them eat Mace".
Well, of course you did!
Sensible fellow, and well-met!
Mindless hatred!? The hatred is well-thought and calculated.
