The godlike H at Cosmic Treadmill, head of research for the Thanagarian Ministry of Information, has exposed the fact that the self-centered carelessness of Rann's "hero for hire" is responsible for one of Hawkman's long-time adversaries.
Shocking but true, folks.
H's sterling scholarship has earned the Eye of the Hawk Award and my forgiveness for his inability to appreciate the glory of Vibe.

It's rumored that the new Green Lantern series will have two Green Lanterns added to the Corps, one from Thanagar and one from Rann. Do we really need to debate who would have the most powerful will? It's seems obvious to me.
How much willpower does it take to get your ring to flash a signal that says, "HELP ME, ADAM STRANGE!" ?
But the Rannian would have more imagination, wouldn't they? I'd imagine the Thanagarian would be the more comically inept one and mostly just try to bonk people with giant green maces.
As for IQ, well, I suspect that Adam Strange was deliberately trying to create IQ to counter the Thanagarians because he knew they couldn't be trusted, but didn't want to act against them directly just yet. Also, IQ could hardly be considered evil considering that he mainly fought Thanagarians. Yes, he also fought the JLA and Superman once or twice, but could you blame him considering that the JLA had the gall to induct Hawkman and snub Adam Strange?
Oops, I forgot--Adam Strange was the first person to be offered Justice League membership and turn it down! I guess if they couldn't have him you can't blame them too much for going with a loser like Hawkman, but still.
Stop feeding H's ego. It's crowding me out of the Treadmill and our Strat-o-Matic league (20 years young, by the way).
Wah, wah, wah. I sound like a Rannian.
"H's giant inflated ego cloud is attacking my city's stratomatic device; help me, Adam Strange!"
"I'm sorry, Nimbus Boy, but in battle a stiff instellar wind might blow you away! I'm afraid will have to reject your application!"
