A Public Notice on Green Lantern

I now officially recognize that it's not Hal Jordan's fault.

Hal's brother Jim, using a power ring.

Clearly, it's some sort of genetic defect.

P.S. This notice should not, in any way, be intereted as an abrogration of the right to make fun of Hal Jordan nonetheless. Void in Louisiana.

So your recognition of this when I posted the same panel last year must have been unofficial, I guess.

No, that was just after I stopped reading your blog.

Scipio, I'd like to read your comments on this teaser image:

But what if you're in Louisiana and weren't making fun of Hal beforehand, anyway?

Scipio said...

Very well, Julian. You shall have them....

Hmmmmm...stupidity DOES seem to run in the Jordan family, doesn't it? Look, there's even a butt shot of Jim!

What's your nick over on that forum where the teaser pic was posted, Scip?

Scippy, I'll give you the benefit of the doubt and assume that you forgot that I had written basically the same piece and you were just too lazy to check that you had commented on it, rather than a liar who is too dumb to erase the evidence.

Honestly, it's a simple faux pas. Hell, it was a response to a meme you started. An "oops, sorry" would have been fine. Instead you chose to implicitly call me a liar over something that can be easily checked.

My link didn't work last time, so here's the URL. I suggest you look at the comments section before you make things any worse.

Just...

Wow.

Let's see, what was the reason I stopped reading your blog?

Oh, that's right; extreme, unwarranted, and pointless bitterness.

Still... pardon me for not memorizing everything that has appeared on your blog! How silly of me!

I'm not sure I understand; "nick" as in nickname?

To my knowledge, I've never been to that forum before. If I'm wrong, however, I'm sure Marionette will correct me, since she seems to follow my commentary more closely than I do.

Dude, quit picking on Louisiana. Haven't we suffered enough?

So you copy my ideas and then when I point it out your response is to first call me a liar and then repeatedly insult me.

pardon me for not memorizing everything that has appeared on your blog! How silly of me!

Except you apparently did memorize this one, since it's the same panel with the same comment. You just forgot where it came from.

I am honestly baffled why you can't just admit you made a mistake and apologize. I'm far less bothered by someone copying some little five minute post of mine than these attacks and insults you are throwing to cover it.

"So you copy my ideas"

Okay, that's funnier than anything you've ever said on your own blog!

I really can't bother to remember every time someone -- like you -- has decided to copy what I was doing (and then called it "responding to a meme"!) Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery.

I'm really sorry you made a post so much like what I've traditionally done that I was worried I'd actually made this post before.

If it makes you feel any better to say, "I got to that picture before you did!", then please do, all night long if you wish. I apologize for forgetfully copying your attempts to copy me; feel better now?

Even, by the way, if I had remembered, I'd probably still have posted it here, so that someone might actually see it.

Please don't waste my and my readers' time with your petty demands to Respect Your Authoritah, Marionette. It's bad enough your bitterness (as perfectly exemplified in your icon, I might add) has ruined your blog; I'd rather it didn't ruin mine, too.
