I don't want to be too negative, but I've never appreciated Templeton's work. It always feels to me like the panels have had their elements copied and pasted in from wildly different sources. For example, here, besides being unsanitary, it also looks like Alfred's hand might be in front of a levitating glass. The kid's hand is both on the plate and level with the tablecloth, with the fork just...there.
People happily buy his work, so he's obviously doing a lot right, but my eyes always read his work as more on the side of careless than what I assume is meant to be care-free.
