David, thanks for the kind words! But you know, you don't have to play the game to enjoy these. One of my regular customers gets them just to display them (which I like, because he doesn't care what dial I put 'em on)!
Oh, and if you used Aerogel, you'd probably get a bunch of free publicity from technology geek sites like BoingBoing, Slashdot, and Make. AeroGel is kind of a tech geek favorite these days.
The main problem might be in figuring out how to cut and shape it.
