From this week's Aquaman

Aquaman, doing what he does (rather than, say, hitting Nazis or swinging swords).

"CHOMP", indeed.

Wow, that looks really ...

what's the word I'm looking for?

Oh, yes.

Humiliating.

I'll miss that sort of thing in the post-Sword-of-Atlantis DCU.

  1. Now I think Aquaman would have been perfect for going after U-Boats and the like.

Alas, Roy Thomas added The Golden Age Aquaman to the team in the LAST issue of All-Star Squadron only to be retconned outta exist by the end of the book.

I so need to see the Golden Age Topo in action.

The Earth-Two Aquaman was hinted at a couple of times earlier in All-Star Squadron, though. In the big JLA/JSA/A-S S team-up, when Liberty Belle met the Earth-One Aquaman, she mentioned thinking there was one on her world. She confirmed this at the first "official meeting" of the Squadron but said she had been unable to contact him.

  3. Got to love the fact that this book made it seem like Aquaman had a great rogues gallery.

  4. It was growing and improving.

The Deep Six serve as villainous yeast to the mix.

Don't you just LOVE Manta's new outfit, with its little manta-cape?

    Stylin'!

  5. In the immortal words of Christopher Walken...

"It could use a little more cowbell... er... sword!"

  6. Isn't wearing a cape underwater pretty much the stupidest thing you can do, costume-wise?

  7. Fashion is not supposed to be PRACTICAL!

It's attached to his sleeves, like wings, actually, which isn't cumbersome like the cape of, say, Ocean Master.
