    Is Doc Magnus the same as Magnus Robot Smasher? That can't be. But then why the same name, same obsession with bots?

    Chance; no, they're not. Obviously Magnus Robot Hunter is Doc Magnus' Earth-3 counterpart.

    And I'm their Earth Prime counterpart... AND you have no idea how hard it is for me to write Magnus without doing the alternate capital things...

    Plus, Magnus actually smashes tons of robots per story, instead of jsut pondering the significance of smashing robots for five or six issues.

    Well, at least until Valiant got ahold of him ...
