Hmm...given the plot of the Teen Titans comic the second image is taken from (that is where it's from, yes?)...maybe Jeanine was trying to sell her soul to Neron, and Dan blew out the candle to save her...so not only is Jeanine dead, but her soul is writhing in torment in hell.
Looks like Dan snuffed something else.
