Speaking of Aquaman, riddle me this:
Which awful Batman villain would make a wonderful Aquaman villain? Assuming "villains" aren't too "superheroey" for the Sword of Atlantis...
Why, it's everyone's favorite Big Beautiful Woman:
ORCA THE WHALE WOMAN!So dainty. So feminine. Love those lips! I really hope Oprah can clear up her schedule enough to play her in the next Batman movie... .
If you don't know who Orca is then (1) shame on you (2) count your lucky stars.
soon to appear at a furries fan-site near you....
ReplyDeleteOh-Or-ca..
ReplyDeleteSay it loud, and there's music playing,
Say it soft, and it's almost like... nah.
Nice figurine, although the face looks a lttle like Venom or Carnage or Disease or whatever that Spider-junk-thing is called.
Hey, we've got King Shark as a regular in this book. Orca the She-Whale would fit in just fine.
ReplyDeleteI think I even have the bulk (ha! I said 'bulk!') of her previous appearances.
kdb
You put ORCA in it, Kurt, and even I will buy the issue!!!!
ReplyDeletePff. I could get you to buy it even without putting Orca in it.
ReplyDeleteNow, admittedly, it would be something of a stretch to get a Vibe appearance in there, but I could do it. There's an Aqua-connection there!
But I guess I'll have to find out which Orca-estral appearances I'm missing. I just don't know whether to have a big fight, or have King Shark get lucky.
Maybe both!
kdb
Orca only appeared in one storyline so if you have those issues of Batman, you've got her in toto.
ReplyDeleteAnd if you put Vibe in it, I'll buy four copies.
Hah! Your Orca-fu is weak, old man.
ReplyDeleteOrca was in BATMAN 579-581, JOKER: LAST LAFF 1-2 and LAST LAFF SECRET FILES.
Admittedly, she was pretty much just cannon-fodder in LAST LAUGH.
But I know I'm missing at least one of the BATMANs. I have all the LAST LAFFs.
Hmmm, Vibe...

I need to know what her dial looks like. What powers did Orca have?
ReplyDelete(Tonight I've cleared some space on the schedule to work on my ultimate custom Heroclix... Tyrannosaurus Reich.)
Back at you, Busiek! if you'd got all of LAST LAUGH then you've suffered enough!
ReplyDeleteBy the way, in case I never mentioned it, I really liked JLA/Avengers: good job on a nearly impossible task...
>> Back at you, Busiek! if you'd got all of LAST LAUGH then you've suffered enough! >>
ReplyDeleteSomeone has to hold the line.
"He that outlives this day, and comes safe home,
Will stand a tip-toe when the day is named,
And rouse him at the name of Last Laugh.
He that shall live this day, and see old age,
Will yearly on the vigil feast his neighbours,
And say 'To-morrow is Last Laugh:'
Then will he strip his sleeve and show his scars."
We do it all for you, the readers.
>> By the way, in case I never mentioned it, I really liked JLA/Avengers: good job on a nearly impossible task...>>
Thanks. It was a very fun nearly-impossible task to do...

"Why, it's everyone's favorite Big Beautiful Woman:
ReplyDeleteORCA THE WHALE WOMAN!"
The horror! The...horror...
St. Crispin is rolling over in his grave, Kurt.
ReplyDeleteBy the way, I discovered tonight that we have some mutual friends here in town. Please shoot me a private email for details...!
scipio.garling@verizon.net
Oh -- sure Scipio, now that you're sending private emails to Kurt you lose ALL your street cred...
ReplyDeleteAnd as of today, I own all of Orca's appearances.
